As a boutique property rather than a hotel, we do not have a reception or on-site staff available 24/7. Our check-in and check-out process is fully self-service. Housekeeping is on-site daily from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Should you have any questions during your stay, we’re readily available via email from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
We recommend arriving before dark, especially in winter, as the area becomes pitch black at night. To preserve the natural beauty of the night sky, we do not have additional outdoor lighting. However, you’ll find flashlights in the box by the parking area to help guide you to your cabin.
While the Lodges are cozy, there is enough space to accommodate two medium-sized suitcases. We recommend traveling with a backpack or a smaller bag, bringing only what you need. There is a cupboard available for storing items, but please note that there is limited floor space for larger luggage.
To preserve a truly light-pollution-free environment and allow guests to fully enjoy the night sky, we intentionally keep both locations unlit. There are a few subtle solar lights along the pathways, but they don’t provide consistent illumination throughout the night. Additionally, each Lodge has outdoor lighting, which we kindly ask you to turn off when not using the terrace or hot tub. The saunas also have outdoor lights that should be switched off after your session.
In winter, when darkness falls earlier, we recommend checking in around 4:00 PM to ensure you can easily locate your Lodge. For additional guidance, you’ll receive a digital guest guide 5 weeks before your arrival, which includes detailed driving instructions with photos. You can also refer to the site map (available in each Lodge’s gallery) to help you navigate the area, along with our 360° virtual views.
In winter (October to March), a 4WD is required to reach the location, as the property is situated off the main road and snow removal is less frequent than on the main highways. If you’re planning to travel outside the capital during this time, we strongly recommend renting a 4×4 vehicle. In summer, a 4WD is not necessary, and the site is easily accessible with a standard 2WD vehicle.

The Northern Lights are only visible during the winter months, from late August to late April, when it’s dark enough outside. To catch a glimpse, the sky needs to be clear—no clouds, rain, or snow. There’s no exact time when they’re most likely to appear, as the lights can show up anytime between early evening and early morning. The key is to look up often when it’s dark.
For the best chances, we recommend checking the aurora forecast and cloud cover updates every 15 minutes to monitor conditions. Sometimes, even on clear nights, the lights may not be active, so a little bit of luck is also needed! If the stars are visible and you’re patient enough to gaze at the sky for a while, your chances of seeing the Northern Lights are high.
Keep in mind that December and January are typically the months with the most storms, which can reduce the chances of seeing the auroras (though it’s still possible). The weather can vary from year to year, so conditions may change.
As the space is limited, sadly we cannot welcome any pet at the lodges.
Yes, the hot tub is available during your stay, but food and alcohol are strictly prohibited inside.
If the tub requires full drainage, deep cleaning, or a filter replacement due to residue, a cleaning fee of up to €300 may be charged.
Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 30 days before your arrival.
Between 30 and 7 days before arrival, 50% of the amount will be refunded.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival are non-refundable.
Refunds are usually processed within 48 to 72 hours.

Our lodges are equipped with blackout curtains, but part of the roof remains glass to offer open views of the sky.
A sleep mask is always provided in the lodge, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
Any items found after check-out will be kept for 5 days.
After that, they will be donated to local charities.
If you wish to have something returned, shipping costs must be paid in advance, along with a €35 handling fee.
Please note that international delivery may take longer depending on logistics.
We trust our guests to treat the space with care.
If any damage is found (furniture, equipment, linens, etc.) or items are missing, replacement or repair costs will be charged.
If the lodge is left in a state of significant disorder, an extra cleaning fee of €75 may apply.
Icelandic summer offers a unique light: the sun never fully sets. In the evenings, the sky often turns soft shades of pink and magenta, creating a peaceful, dreamlike atmosphere.
